Ok i never tried the v1 but i can say this raspberry is pretty good. It does borderline on the candy raspberry but in a good way. The only gripe is that all raspberries tend to lose their punch on a long steep. I found mixing thise with sweet raspberry tfa really gives me a solid raspberry. I use it in my raspberry cream candy recipe that stands the test of time.
